Privacy Policy
How Select Estate Sales handles information shared through our website, inquiries and email updates.
Effective Date: October 19, 2026 · Last Updated: October 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Select Estate Sales (“we,” “us” and “our”) collects, uses and shares personal information through selectestatesales.com and its website forms. It also explains choices you can make about that information. It covers our website and related inquiry communications; separate auction platforms, payment services and other websites have their own privacy notices.
For a privacy question or request, use our contact form, choose “General consultation,” and write “Privacy Request” at the beginning of your message. You do not need to request marketing emails or create an account.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Our inquiry form asks for your name, email address and the type of help you want. You may also provide a phone number, preferred reply method, property city, an overview of household contents, desired timing, a deadline, your organization or professional role, and a message. We collect the email-update preference you select and information you later provide when communicating with us.
If you refer another person or act for an estate, provide only information you are authorized to share and that is needed for the inquiry. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, account or payment-card numbers, passwords, identification documents, medical details, wills or other sensitive estate records through this form. The website inquiry form does not accept file uploads or payments.
Request and communication records
We keep records associated with your request, such as its receipt number, submission time, topic, processing status and follow-up communications. For email updates, we record requests, confirmations, unsubscribe choices and related timestamps so we can manage and respect your preferences. Our email providers may process delivery, bounce and engagement information, such as email opens or link clicks, depending on their settings.
Technical and security information
When you visit, our hosting and security providers may process your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, request times, security signals and error information. We use request identifiers and checks derived from submissions to reduce duplicate requests and misuse. These protections are separate from marketing subscriptions.
2. How We Use Information
- Respond to questions and discuss the services you request.
- Route inquiries to the appropriate Select Estate Sales service and coordinate follow-up.
- Maintain inquiry records and understand the status of a request.
- Send requested confirmation messages and administer optional sale and auction email updates.
- Operate and troubleshoot the website, prevent spam and fraud, and protect its users and records.
- Handle privacy requests, preserve communication preferences, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal obligations.
Submitting an inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to promotional emails. Website information is not used to make automated decisions about eligibility for employment, housing, credit or similarly significant matters.
3. Who Receives Information
Information is available to the people responsible for responding to your inquiry and to service providers that help us operate the website and communications:
- Hosting, storage and security providers. OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare provide website infrastructure, storage and security services. Submitted inquiries are stored in a private application database.
- Brevo. We use Brevo to organize inquiries by topic and manage email communications. This can include your email address and service-list membership, as well as the details of your inquiry when Brevo delivers a notification to our team. Brevo also processes requested confirmation and subscription messages.
- Business email providers. Providers that deliver or host our business email process messages and the inquiry information they contain.
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, protect people or our rights, investigate misuse, or resolve a dispute. If the business undergoes a merger, sale or reorganization, relevant records may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate notice.
The website does not include advertising-network pixels or use inquiry submissions for cross-site targeted advertising. We do not sell information collected through these website forms. A Select Estate Sales inquiry or email-update request does not automatically enroll you in Select Estate Partners marketing.
4. Cookies, Browser Storage and Spam Protection
Our website code does not install advertising cookies or a separate visitor-analytics tracker. Hosting and security services may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and protect the site. Browser controls allow you to restrict storage, although doing so may affect forms or security checks.
During your current tab session, the form stores random request identifiers and one-way fingerprints of requests in session storage. This helps recognize retries and avoid duplicate submissions. The form code does not save the text of your inquiry or your contact details in that storage. You can clear browser site data to remove these identifiers; doing so may prevent the form from recognizing an earlier attempt.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish people from automated traffic. Cloudflare processes technical signals such as IP address, browser information and the site being visited to protect the service and improve bot detection. Our verification request includes the security token and, when available, the visitor IP address. Read the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum for its practices.
We do not currently use the website for the sale or cross-site advertising uses addressed by Global Privacy Control signals. The website does not change its essential operation in response to a browser “Do Not Track” setting. Privacy requests can be made through our contact form.
Our privacy pop-up offers Accept and Decline and remembers your choice for up to 180 days. Essential features remain active with either choice, and neither choice enables optional tracking. It stores that choice, the notice version and the time you saved it in local browser storage, without form details. The saved record may remain in your browser after the choice expires, until it is replaced or you clear it. You can reopen it through “Privacy Preferences” in the footer, or clear browser site data to remove the saved choice. This setting does not subscribe you to emails or give consent to unrelated data uses. No optional analytics or advertising cookies are currently offered by this site.
5. Email Choices
The optional email-updates checkbox is unchecked by default. A request for Select Estate Sales event and auction updates requires a separate email confirmation before activation. An existing unsubscribe or suppression preference is not overridden by an ordinary service inquiry.
You can stop promotional updates using the unsubscribe option in those messages. If a link has expired or you need help, use our contact form and describe the email preference you want changed. You may also reply to an existing message from our team. Service-related replies and information needed to handle your request are separate from promotional updates.
Unsubscribing does not automatically erase an inquiry or every record of a prior communication. We may retain a limited record of your preference to avoid sending updates you have declined.
6. Retention and Security
Retention depends on the kind of record, whether an inquiry or service relationship is active, follow-up needs, applicable recordkeeping requirements, disputes and the need to preserve consent or unsubscribe choices. There is no single automatic deletion period for all inquiry and communication records. Expiration of a confirmation link does not itself delete the underlying request.
You may ask us to delete information through the process below. A request may require review of records held in our inquiry system, email service and business mailbox. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, security, dispute resolution or to honor an opt-out. Copies held in backups or by service providers may be subject to their retention processes.
We use HTTPS, restricted administrative access, server-side validation and spam controls to help protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep sensitive records out of the initial form and ask our team about an appropriate way to share them.
7. Privacy Requests and Your Rights
Depending on your residence and which laws apply, you may have rights to know about and access personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain processing. Rights can be subject to legal exceptions. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Use our contact form with “Privacy Request” in the message. Describe the request and use the email address associated with your earlier inquiry when possible. Provide only what is necessary to locate the relevant information. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority before disclosing or changing records. Do not send identity documents unless we have arranged an appropriate method.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any applicable extension or reason we cannot fulfill a request. Where a right to appeal applies, submit “Privacy Appeal” through the same form and describe the decision you want reviewed. We will explain the outcome and any applicable way to contact a regulator. If the form is temporarily unavailable, try again later or reply to an existing communication from our team.
8. Children’s Information
This website and its services are intended for adults, not children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us through the privacy-request process so we can review it and take appropriate action.
9. Other Websites and Processing Locations
Links to auction platforms, professional resources, Select Estate Partners and other websites take you to services with their own terms and privacy practices. This policy does not control those services. Illustrative lifestyle images on this website are AI-generated and do not depict actual customers, client properties or sale inventory.
Our business is based in the United States. Hosting, security and communications providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws may differ between locations. Contact us if you have questions about how information associated with your inquiry is handled.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy as the website, services or applicable requirements change. The date above identifies the latest update. When required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially changing how previously collected information is used.
For questions about this policy, your information or a privacy concern, contact Select Estate Sales and begin your message with “Privacy Request.”
